Autumn Term – second half
Our theme this half term is called Fighting Fit and science is one of the lead subjects. The children will enjoy learning all about healthy eating, exercise and will find out more about the importance (and potential dangers) of medicines. Our role play area has been set up as a gym and is ready for burpee and push up practise!
To find out more about what we are covering in English and maths, as well as science and art, click on the curriculum overview link below. This will give you further details of the skills and activities being carried out. We will also aim to keep the gallery section of the website up to date with photos showing your children’s learning experiences.
Thank you for your positive comments about last term’s Learning Logs; we are really pleased with your children’s efforts. This term’s tasks will be sent home during the first week back and can also be downloaded below. Enjoy!
Autumn Term - first half
Thank you to all parents who were able to attend our KS1 maths workshop. Hopefully it gave you an insight into how we approach the teaching of maths in school. Below is the presentation we used, which may be of interest if you weren't able to come. We appreciate your ongoing support.
Thank you to all parents who came to our Meet the Teacher event last week. It was great to get the chance to share information and answer your questions. If you were unable to attend you should have received a welcome booklet which includes the curriculum overview for this half term. If you didn't, you can find this document attached below, together with this half term's Learning Log.
The children are settling in well and enjoying our The Place Where I Live topic. Don't forget to check our gallery pages for photos showing your children's learning adventures.
