Autumn Term - first half
Thank you to all parents who came to our Meet the Teacher event this week. It was great to have the opportunity to share information about the year ahead and answer your questions. If you were unable to attend you should have received a printed copy of our welcome booklet which includes the curriculum overview for this half term (sincere apologies for the typing error on the front page in the school vision 'achieving greatly'). If a copy didn't make its way to you, you can find this document attached below, together with this half term's Learning Log.
We are looking forward to getting to know your children and helping them on the next stage of their learning journey here at St. Michael's. They have settled in well so far and are enjoying our new topic 'The Place Where I Live'. Don't forget to check our gallery pages for photos showing your children's learning adventures.

Autumn Term – second half
The theme this half term is called Fighting Fit and science is one of the lead subjects. The children will enjoy learning all about healthy eating and exercise and will find out more about the importance (and potential dangers) of medicines. Our role play area will be set up as a gym ready for burpee and push up practice!
To find out more about what we are covering in English and maths, as well as science and art, a curriculum overview will be provided after the half term holiday. This will give you further details of the skills and activities being carried out. We will also aim to keep the gallery section of the website up to date with photos showing your children’s learning experiences.
