Rosa Parks' Day
Tue 07 Feb 2023To celebrate Rosa Parks’ Day and commemorate Rosa and the impact that she had on the Civil Rights Movement, we held a series of worships during last week. We shared with the children Rosa’s story and the importance of fighting for justice and equality for all. Each class then researched another civil rights' activist who had faced inequality and injustice and fought back. Children shared their stories with the rest of school. Key people included Mo Farah, Wilma Rudolph, Martin Luther King, Oskar Schindler and Malala Yousafzai.

Nursery Number Day
Thu 02 Feb 2023This morning nursery took part in a nature scavenger hunt with a maths focus for NSPCC number day.
We were given the challenge of finding various different objects from the school field. We took all our findings back to the nursery classroom to count.
In total, we found 23 sticks, 13 leaves, 4 picnic benches, 2 footballs, and 5 stumps and we also counted 6 alpacas on the farm next door. We lost count of how many trees we could see!
We also noticed that the sticks we found were also different sizes too.
