Equality Awards

Over the academic year 2022/23 we worked towards the Lancashire Equality Mark strands of:

Disability Equality and Gender Equality.

Following successful accreditation visits in July 2022 and October 2022 , the school was awarded both of the strands identified. The assessor visiting school commented that the practice seen was securely embedded across school and was particularly impressed with the way pupils take responsibility and are confident in challenging school leaders to provide an excellent inclusive environment.

Over the academic year 2023/24 we worked towards the Lancashire Equality Mark for Race and Religion and Beliefs. After an accreditation visit on 29th January 2024, we are thrilled to share that school was awarded the both of these Equality Badges. The assessor visiting school commented that the he was 'blown away' with the children's knowledge and understanding of different faiths and religions. 

We are continuing now to work towards the Lancashire Equality Mark strands of: Sexual Orientation Equality and Socio-Economic Equality.
