Rosa Parks' Day
To celebrate Rosa Parks’ Day and commemorate Rosa and the impact that she had on the Civil Rights Movement, we held a series of worships during last week. We shared with the children Rosa’s story and the importance of fighting for justice and equality for all. Each class then researched another civil rights' activist who had faced inequality and injustice and fought back. Children shared their stories with the rest of school. Key people included Mo Farah, Wilma Rudolph, Martin Luther King, Oskar Schindler and Malala Yousafzai.
