From 2 January 2024, eligible working parents can apply for 15 hours of childcare for their two-year-old.  From September 2025, eligible working parents can apply for 30 hours of childcare for their two-year-old.

To apply for a childcare code each parent needs to be working and earning the equivalent of 16 hours a week at national minimum/living wage and under £100,000 adjusted net income per year. This means that each parent needs to earn from just over £8,600 per year to be eligible for 15 hours a week of childcare during term time.

St Michael's on Wyre Church of England Nursery  

Welcome to St Michael's on Wyre Church of England Nursery. We are a small, friendly nursery, with experienced staff. 

We welcome all children aged 2 and over.  Our aim is to enable children to develop to their full potential, and we do this by providing opportunities as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage within a rich well resourced indoor and outdoor environment. Children may develop comfortably within this safe, supportive atmosphere, encouraged by well-qualified and experienced staff who are very sensitive to the needs of young children.

We are an eligible provider of early years funding, both for 3 and 4 year olds, and eligible 2 year olds. We are registered for 30 hours funded childcare, Tax Free Childcare and Childcare vouchers.

Our nursery opening hours are 8.30am–3.10pm during school terms.

Children in nursery are welcome to access school's Breakfast and After School Club from 7.30am-5.30pm.
