VISION
At St. Michael’s on Wyre Church of England Primary School and Nursery we aim to provide a happy, caring, safe and stimulating learning environment where positive attitudes are fostered and where every child will flourish.
Our school strives for excellence, and values achievement; both academic and creative, through high quality teaching and learning within an imaginative and dynamic environment.
Every child is an individual and the needs of everyone are considered.
Our children are encouraged to respect their own faith and those of others within our caring Christian environment.
We inspire our children to care for their local and wider community, protecting the world they live in and the people and environment they live among.
ETHOS
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will endeavour to preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England. This will be undertaken in partnership with the Church at both Parish and Diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
