Arbor Day Tree Planting Activity
Fri 28 Jan 2022We had a visit on Wednesday from Charlotte Bancroft, a student at Myerscough College as part of the Arbor Day UK team. Arbor day is an international movement www.arborday.org promoting the value and importance trees have in our lives, whilst championing those who plant, protect and advocate for trees. This year’s event will be held on February 11th, 2022, at Myerscough College.
As part of Arbor Day UK 2022 the team are aiming to engage more local primary schools, communities, and local businesses in tree planting activities; whilst raising awareness of Arbor Day and the importance of Arboriculture.
Our school was provided with a tree to plant alongside support; to correctly prepare the site, plant the tree and guidance for successful establishment.
Take a look at our School Council as they helped to dig and plant the cherry tree kindly gifted to us.

2 year old funding for Nursery
Mon 13 Dec 2021We all want our children to grow up to be healthy, happy and well-adjusted to the world around them and whatever your situation, balancing family life in this modern world can be tough.
Some 2-year-olds can access 15 hours of funded early education and childcare, depending on their individual family circumstances. Children grow up so fast, but you can give them a great start in life by taking them to a local nursery or a childminder for a few hours a week, funded by the government.
Your child can play, learn and grow in a fun, friendly, safe environment.
