  We had a wonderful time at the pantomime this morning. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were very engaged, enthusiastically joining in with the audience participation.

  Well done to Matilda for naming Teddy the Shetland pony correctly at our school fair. We hope you enjoy your prize! Thank you to Miss Hilton for bringing Teddy to the fair; we loved seeing him!

  

• Santa visit and film night!

  It was great that Santa could take time out of his busy schedule yesterday to come to school. The children all loved their visit to him, followed by a fun-filled film night. Thank you to the PTA and staff for co-ordinating and managing the event.

  

• Storm Desmond - 10 years on.

  Last week, we welcomed Nisha Hindocha from BBC Radio Lancashire into school. She interviewed Mrs Jackson and Mrs Carroll as it has been 10 years since Storm Desmond. Together, they discussed the impact the flood had on our school and community, as well as the measures we have put in place to help ensure such an event never happens again.

• Mrs Fleet's Bench

  Mrs Fleet’s memory bench has now arrived.
  Thank you to everyone who contributed towards it. She was an exceptional governor and a wonderful friend. We hope that, like us, you will sit on the bench and reflect fondly on such a truly kind and remarkable lady.

  A huge thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas Fair yesterday!

  Special thanks to the Christmas pony, Mrs Clark, and all the staff and children who ran the stalls — together we raised £1,000 for school funds!

  Well done to our raffle winners who collected their prizes on exit yesterday and a big thank you for your generosity — you made the afternoon truly magical!

  Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Advent service in church this morning, and for all the generous toy donations. We know the Salvation Army were delighted with the gifts. 2800 plus families are supported by the Salvation Army just in Blackpool - so our contributions were really appreciated.

  Well done to our Glow Dodgeball team, who represented the school brilliantly at GCCA on Thursday. They looked amazing in their fluorescent gear too!
