Hothersall Lodge
Mon 18 Mar 2019Our Year 4 children have returned to school today following a weekend at Hothersall Lodge with Blackburn School Ventures. We are all very proud of the children here at school. -
Bishop Jill's visit
Mon 04 Feb 2019We welcomed Bishop Jill into school on Monday afternoon to dedicate our new building work. Mrs Cliff and Mrs Fleet, both former pupils of St. Michael’s and governors to school, officially opened the EYFS unit and new entrance. A short service was held in the hall, to which the children sat and behaved impeccably. Bishop Jill commented that she had led worship in many schools and the behaviour of our children was by far the best she had seen. Well done to all the children from Nursery to Year 6. You were fabulous!

Salvation Army
Wed 05 Dec 2018What an interesting time we had visiting the Salvation Army to see where our toys from the Advent service have gone. We really enjoyed looking around and were impressed with all the different ways the Salvation Army support vulnerable people. We are glad we have been able to help and cherish our wider community.

Christmas Fair
Fri 30 Nov 2018Thank you for all your contributions and attendance at the Christmas Fair. It was a wonderful afternoon and raised £1280.00. At the last school council meeting, the council asked if some of the funds raised could go to help disadvantaged people close to home, so a donation will be made to a local homeless charity. As always, we were amazed by your generosity. It has certainly helped get us all in the Christmas spirit here in school. Thank you.
