  St Michael’s on Wyre CE Primary School is a key partner in the Ripley TSA SCITT, a school-centred teacher training provider, and you can train to teach here from September 2019.

  This highly successful teacher training programme, graded Outstanding by Ofsted, is designed and delivered by primary school leaders in Lancashire. Our vision is to develop outstanding teachers with the skills and knowledge needed by our schools now and in the future.

• The Big Frieze

  We are having an RE week this week to introduce all the school to the new Understanding Christianity Resource. We are looking at the ‘Big Frieze’ which tells the full bible story and we are creating our own version of it. Each class is creating a panel and presenting it during assembly on Friday. Look out for the ‘St Michael's Big Frieze’ which will be on display after summer in the hall. Visit Children, Gallery, School Events to see the children busy in action creating their panels. 

• Father's Day Lunch

  It was lovely to see so many dads and granddads joining us this lunch time for Father's Day lunch. They even managed a game of football afterwards!

  

• Fire Safety

  Year 2 have had a fantastic time with the fire service this morning. They have learnt a great deal all about fire safety in the home.

  

• Pupil Council Application for Sept 2018 - July 2019

• Year 6 Maths Winners

  Our Year 6 returned triumphant from Garstang Academy this morning after taking part in a maths challenge against other local primary schools. We are very proud of them and impressed with their talents. Well done!

  

• World Book Day

  We have thoroughly enjoyed our World Book Day celebrations. Children came to school dressed as their favourite character and have spent the day listening to stories, sharing books and enjoying many book related activities. 

  

• Cookery Club

  A wonderful start to cookery club today. Our year 6 children produced some very healthy salads, showing off their preparation and cutting skills, as well as their presentation skills. Can't wait for next week!

  

• Oak Class Assembly

  A huge well done to Oak Class for their fantastic assembly about Diwali. They were all wonderful!
