    Mon 08 May 2017

After school tomorrow (Tuesday at 3.10pm) there is a short meeting for parents who are interested in their child taking part in the Suitcase Project. This project came about following the December 2015 floods and aims to help young children develop resilience in difficult situations. It is very much a craft based project held in school over a 2 day period. Although places are limited, there are still some available. If you are interested either return the slip on last week's newsletter or pop into the office and let us know.

  • New Vision Statement

    Thu 23 Mar 2017

After many meetings and discussion with parents, staff, governors and children we have finalised our new school vision (mission) statement. It is:-

Shining Brightly, Achieving Greatly, Cherishing Community.

We believe this reflects what St. Michael's on Wyre CE Primary is all about. We want our children to flourish and reach their full potential in everything they do whilst realising the importance of our fabulous and supportive community.

  • Last Choir Singing

    Fri 17 Mar 2017
Our amazing choir took part in the Last Choir Singing Competition at Marine Hall in Fleetwood. This was the first time we had performed in this event and despite being very nervous the children shone. They sang in a heat with ten schools and were runners up at the end of the night. They now have to perform all over again in the Regional Finals at King George's Hall, Blackburn on 16th June. We will keep you posted on ticket sales as it will be a night not to be missed! Well done choir, you were awesome! And a huge thank you to Mrs Brabin, pianist and choir master extraordinaire!
