  • Over £170 raised on World Book Day

    Mon 06 Mar 2017

The children enjoyed swapping books with their classmates on World Book Day. They also enjoyed a tasty playtime treat, thanks to Elm Class’ impressive cake stall. Your generous donations have helped raise over £170 for our friends in Africa, which is fantastic! This money will be sent directly to Tididiek-Okorom Primary School, our link school in Ngora, Uganda, to spend on books and other much needed resources.

A special thank you to all Elm Class children and their families for sending in such a wonderful selection of cakes and biscuits. Your ongoing support is appreciated.

  • Maple Room Official Opening

    Wed 22 Feb 2017

On Wednesday 22nd February we welcomed the Bishop of Lancaster, Bishop Geoff and Mr Roger Mason from Garstang and Over Wyre Rotary club to officially open and bless our new library / learning zone known as Maple Room.

Several of our children spoke about Maple Room and how many different groups of children use it in so many different ways throughout the day. It is certainly a valuable teaching and learning space in school.

Our special thanks go to Mr Mason and the Rotary for their contribution to the work carried out in Maple Room. We have been able to replenish our library stock and furnish the room with attractive, child friendly furniture thanks to the Rotary's contribution.

  • Code Breaking Champions

    Fri 20 Jan 2017
A huge well done to our Year 6 team who were winners of the Code Breaking Challenge at Rossall School, beating 26 other teams! The children worked incredibly well together and made us all very proud of them!
  • Christmas Crafts

    Mon 05 Dec 2016
Our KS2 children have been very creative this morning making Christmas Logs ready for sale at our Christmas Fair on Wednesday. The finished creations look amazing and the children are very proud of their results.
At just £5.00 each they are available for the children to pre-order and prepay before the actual fair, ensuring they get to take their log home!
KS1 are all set to get busy tomorrow making reindeer and robins. These will be available for £1.50 per reindeer and £2.00 per robin. Again these can be pre-ordered and prepaid to avoid disappointment!
A massive thank you to Mrs Rowlandson and her band of merry helpers who worked like Trojans this morning to ensure all the children made a log!
  • Salvation Army

    Mon 28 Nov 2016
We were joined in worship this morning by Major Fisher from the Salvation Army. She thanked the children for all their  gifts and talked about the many children who would now be able to celebrate Christmas thanks to our children's generosity. The Salvation Army helped 2000 children last Christmas and our gifts will go towards helping many more this year. Thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful charity in church on Sunday.
  • Golden Table Stars

    Fri 07 Oct 2016
A huge well done to Eva, Estelle, Heidi, Freddie, Molly, Anna and Jack who are our very first golden table stars! These children consistently show good manners, as well as being very polite and hard working.
They were rewarded at lunch time today by sitting, with a friend of their choice, on our golden table. Well done everybody!

  • Flood Restoration Thanksgiving Service

    Mon 26 Sep 2016

It was lovely to welcome The Right Reverend Geoff Pearson- Bishop of Lancaster on Friday 23rd September, along with many of our volunteers and helpers who supported school and nursery during the December floods. The service provided an opportunity to thank those members of St. Michael’s community with certificates and awards. We are all truly grateful for their help and support over the last eight months.
