  • Matthew Wade Donation

    Fri 23 Sep 2016
We were joined in our worship yesterday by Mr Wade and 'the two Daves' from the Parachute Regiment and Lancashire Fusilliers. We presented Colonel McCawley of the Parachute Regiment with a cheque for £520. This was raised during our non-uniform day two weeks ago and will go towards helping other families, like Mr and Mrs Wade, who have lost a family army member far too soon.
Mr Wade was overwhelmed with the support, cards, gifts and kind messages he and Mrs Wade have received during this devastating time for them and he was truly grateful for the generous donation given to the charity.
A very big thankyou to everyone at St Michael's School and in the community for your generosity.
  • Archbishop of York.

    Sat 10 Sep 2016
A huge thank you to the children who sang in the Village Hall on Saturday night during the re-dedication of the hall by the Archbishop of York. The singing was amazing and it was a wonderful experience meeting Dr John Sentamu; he is a very inspirational speaker.
  • St Michael's Gala Tennis Competition

    Mon 20 Jun 2016
On Saturday 18th June a tennis competition was held at St Michael's on Wyre Tennis Club. The competition was very successful with 16 children entering from a variety of schools. The competition consisted of 2 teams of which children competed in a round robin style competition. The top 4 people with the most points played each other in the semi final, Alex Chatburn played William Atherton and Eve Carroll played Eleanor Daniels. Both William and Eleanor won their semi final games resulting in a final between William and Eleanor. Both players played really hard but William just managed to beat Eleanor. Well done William!

  • School is ready!

Mon 11 Apr 2016 Ms. Cross

Today we welcomed Mrs. Carroll as our new Headteacher she has had an actioned packed day, and this afternoon, has received the news that school is ready to move back into!

We are busy sorting removal companies and organising the move for this Friday (15th April).

School will be as normal that day, although we would appreciate it if we could cancel afterschool club to enable staff to move their belongings back into their classrooms.

We will be restarting at school on Monday 18th April at 8.40am. Please look out for further details on the school newsletter this week.
